whatrobdidnext Listening to a lot of Kevin Robertson and the Vapour Trails recently. Superb songwriting and playing. Those guitar sounds are so damn good.

POPPHIL An absolutely gorgeous pop record by the leader of Scottish band The Vapour Trails.
If the Love's Blue Yonder single released in mid-April 2021 was any indication, expectations were high for this first solo album but it even surpasses them as Kevin Robertson proves to be a stellar songwriter, musician and singer, on par with fellow Scotsmen Daniel Wylie and Andrew Taylor.

Matthew Flores Aberdeen, Scotland lad and singer/songwriter Kevin Robertson ventures out solo, taking a break as lead singer of The Vapour Trails to create a fun-filled album full of catchy guitar pop. Settle Down is definitely a fave but my heart belongs to Love's Blue Yonder! Favorite track: Love's Blue Yonder.

Many of you will know Kevin Robertson as a vital one fifth of Aberdeen's (Scotland), The Vapour Trails.

Sundown's End is his first album since the VT's released a couple of highly critically acclaimed albums via the Futureman Records label and sees him taking a power-pop core and adding swathes of the 60s pop melodies and jangle-pop that he plainly loves so much.

This album is for those who can appreciate the art of vocal perfection and the absolute beauty that a guitar can produce and signals Robertson's first concerted voyage into solo music .
